I love how you're kind of wanting to be nice and cool but you're still kind of trying to school me? Mansplain a little bit, maybe? Tell me who I should talk to or not? But you're probably a cool dude so I know you'd never do that...Right?

"I don't know what sort of men you surround yourself with but me and my bros think all sorts of good shit about women". Um... Not talking about a buddy here, but a colleague. If you read the story, you'll probably notice that I'm talking about comedians in Buenos Aires.

People I meet at comedy shows are the kinds of people I associate with as a person doing standup in Buenos Aires. It's a world I'm getting familiar with, and unless you happen to be a female comedian in Buenos Aires I'm thinking I probably know more about the sexism in this scene than you do?

So it's not exactly a straw man argument when it comes from experience, is it? And telling a woman who she should associate with, how she should view her experiences or invalidating them altogether, isn't the way to go to prove that men aren't sexist. Even if you've laughed at some female comedians... Just a thought.
