I’ve lived in Argentina for 12 years. With my ex, it was the same thing! He thought it was weird that I would want to travel alone or with friends, but I think he was just insecure. I’m now dating a Colombian as well 😁 but he has zero issue with me being independent. I hate to say it, but it depends on the guy.
