I’m not opposed to musicians talking about politics. They have just as much of a right to an opinion as anyone else, and sometimes their opinions are smarter than those of the people governing us.

One such example is guitar god Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine, whose responses to Trumpers went viral a couple of years ago. He’s a smart guy with a moral compass.

The thing is, though, that not everyone who has a moral compass is smart enough to see when they’ve stuck to their ideology to an extent where they’re able to defend atrocities in the name of peace.

Former Pink Floyd bass player and vocalist Roger Waters is one such example.

Roger Waters Really Needs You to Surrender, Okay?

Earlier this week, Waters published an open letter to Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska on his Facebook page. In it, he asks Zelenska to use her influence and stop asking foreign countries for aid to Ukraine.
