The Reason Behind the White House’s Twitter Snark Is… New Jersey?

I’m sorry for that subtitle, I really am.

Now, on to the topic. In case you missed it because you live a healthy and balanced life outside of political Twitter, the White House account took a stand against the GOP members complaining about student loan forgiveness this week.

With the poetry like the following, the official account of the White House quote-tweeted GOP senators and representatives like Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene with a beautiful trolling thread about the hundreds of thousands in PPP loans they were forgiven.

I love it when a public entity or a company steps out of the norm and goes rogue on social media. The king of this kind of governmental communication is the State of New Jersey.

It’s so good I, a Finn living in Buenos Aires, follow this account — and recommend it to colleagues working in political communication.
