This is an interesting trend here in Argentina, but it's poorly used. The words that already end in the gender-neutral e, such as presidente and estudiante, are now being turned into presidenta and estudianta, depending on who you speak to. The problem is that it's pretty illogical and incoherent so it's hard to follow, and it's politicized on top (mostly used by Peronism), which makes it less appealing.

Finnish, with its non-gendered nouns and a general "hän" as a pronoun for all genders seems super progressive these days. :)
