Vocal Isn’t Messing Around
The platform is seriously working to get me hooked.
I’ve been on this platform since 2019, but the month of October was the first time I started writing seriously here. I did it because it finally felt relatively easy to get traction here.
And it was. I had a great month, and even got two stories on GEN, one of the major publications with over 100k followers. It was a massive win for me, and it made me feel like there could be a future for me making money as a freelancer here.
I started a free Vocal account a couple of weeks ago, just to see if there was a way to make more money republishing my stories there, or maybe even try something new.
They’re looking for new writers with fresh perspectives, and they’re willing to give you some free stuff to get you hooked.
The first story I published had worked really well (for my standards) here, but got zero views on Vocal. I wasn’t too surprised, though. You need to write a lot to get noticed on any platform.
I kind of forgot about Vocal after that, despite their constant invitations via email and on social media to join Vocal+, even with the ease of republishing my content there. The five minutes it took me to…
