“I never want to live with a partner again,” I said five years ago. I was done with dating, and I especially didn't want anyone invading my personal space.

My apartment is beautiful and just spacious enough for me to feel lucky, like I’m in a comfortable place in my life. Where I always wanted to be. A professional, living alone in a big city, doing what I want.

The pandemic, and listening to my upstairs neighbor fighting with her boyfriend, only confirmed my decision. People living in tight spaces with their significant other never seemed too happy.

Why would I want to share my space with another person? I’ve done it for most of my adult life, but I love being alone.

It’s now August 2022, so here’s a bit of personal news: I might move in together with my boyfriend soon. So, it’s the right time to start thinking about what is the right reason, and when is the right time, to make this move.
